Join Desert Rose for an evening of musical meditation, accompanied by Lindi te Water on Tibetan bowls and opening with the spiritual guidance and wisdom of Sufi teacher, Aliya Haeri.





Sufi teacher Aliya Haeri is the director of the Academy of Self Knowledge in South Africa and has more than twenty-five years of experience as a spiritual teacher, mentor, and counsellor, conducting workshops throughout the United States, Europe, South Africa, Asia. Awarded postgraduate degrees in the US, Aliya’s integration of the psychological and spiritual focusrd on living a full and authentic life in this modern age. She will begin the evening with a short exposition on Sufism giving guidance in Sufi breathing and chanting.

The Desert Rose duo of leading world music composer, Lynne Holmes, and Sufi Vocalist, Yusuf Ganief, fresh from their successful tours to Singapore, Penang and Malaysia, will be joined by Lindi te Water who introduced Tibetan singing bowls to South Africa more than 20 years ago. The beautiful harmonies radiating from her unique singing bowl collection awakens a state of timelessness, peace and silence in the tradition of her spiritual teacher’s words , “the most beautiful sound is found in Silence”..
